YourJapanStudio · Our story from Okinawa, Japan
Sharing the Japan
I’m still discovering.
YourJapanStudio is my small creative studio in Okinawa, Japan. I’m Japanese, but seeing how people from other countries respond to Japan has made me curious about things I used to take for granted. Here, I research the culture, history, and everyday habits behind those reactions and share what I learn in English.
Inside YourJapanStudio: culture and everyday life
For example, the five free features explore everyday life, Japanese bakeries, animal figures, traditional patterns and textiles, and shrines and temples. A neighborhood shopping street, a familiar bread or a torii at a Buddhist temple can lead to questions I had never thought to ask.
How these guides use sources
YourJapanStudio is the name I use for English culture guides, Japan-themed digital art and printable products sold on Etsy. On Pinterest and X, I share the guides and designs. I write from my own perspective, with sources you can explore for yourself. Where available, I link to museums, universities, religious institutions and official tourism organizations alongside the explanation they support. I distinguish documented facts, local traditions and possible explanations because a story from one place does not represent all of Japan.
Research organization and English drafting use AI assistance. However, AI output is not treated as historical evidence. Source links and photo credits let you check the material for yourself. Decorative artwork is identified separately from photographs of real places and objects.
Links to the studio’s Etsy shop lead to products I sell. They appear in labeled, optional sections, separate from the historical sources. However, linking to a museum, shrine or tourism organization does not mean it has reviewed or endorsed a guide.
When a factual correction changes an explanation, I update the text and its content-updated date while keeping the original publication date. A source-check date records a reference check, separately from the source’s publication date.
If you spot a factual error, contact YourJapanStudio with the article URL, the passage and a supporting source. These guides are starting points for discovery, rather than official advice from the places described.

Japanese charm, made practical
At YourJapanStudio, the same curiosity and affection for Japan also shape the products I create. For example, discover ukiyo-e-inspired cats, Shiba dogs, cherry blossoms, Mount Fuji, and warm everyday scenes. Alongside printable wall art, my Etsy shop offers Japan travel planners, holiday cards, a 2027 calendar collection, and a beginner Japanese workbook.
I bring the same care to the practical details: page layouts, useful checklists, print instructions, and English guides. Whether you’re dreaming of a Japan trip or making a cozy corner at home, I hope these designs help you keep a little Japan close. Because product formats differ, each Etsy listing explains what is included and how to use it.
How YourJapanStudio creates its artwork

For YourJapanStudio, I use AI assistance in the creative process, then curate and prepare the illustrations. In addition, many products pair them with original layouts and English instructions. These are contemporary, Japan-inspired digital designs. Therefore, imagined scenes are decorative rather than exact maps or destination guides.
